Hands down, best pizza I've ever had, and I've traveled all over the U.S. I'm originally from Lincoln, but my husband's grandmother lives in GI and we go to Wave every time. They have a lot of options for toppings if you make your own, but plenty of specialty options as well. Great sandwiches and salads. It's more of a bar atmosphere, so we go during the week and during the day since we have a toddler.

This pizza place was legit to me. I met with a bunch of coworkers here for dinner and we sat outside in the back. There were 10 of us (6 came before the group I was in) and there was plenty of seats. There were only a couple inside but the weather was nice which was why a lot more were outside. Parking was limited so street parking so I guess it could be a hit or miss. The group of 4 I sat with decided we wanted two Long Board-sized pizzas which were the large size. On one pizza, we ordered half of the Bonzai Pipeline (Boogie Board size was $7.19 and Long Board size was $17.99) and half of the Lover's Point (Boogie Board size was $8.19 and Long Board size was $21.99). The other pizza was the Manly Beach (Boogie Board size was $8.19 and Long Board size was $21.99). We also ordered a couple pitchers of beer. The pizza took a very long time to come out and it really could be that the pizza just took that long to cook. We talked among ourselves for awhile before our pizza finally came out. The Long Board-sized pizzas were pretty large and there were about 8 big slices. The Bonzai Pipeline was delicious as well as the Lover's Point. I would recommend either one of those if you liked Hawaiian pizzas or a lot of meat on your pizza. The Manly Beach was good but would be better without the jalapenos. That was just what I thought but I'm sure others liked the jalapenos. I almost ate five slices total from both pizzas before I stopped trying. It was a lot of pizza to eat but good pizza in my opinion. Good place to hang out, grab a drink, and eat pizza. Come check it out!

When you walk in the door the stench is overwhelming. Have no idea what it is but smells awful! The pizza was ok the salad was great breadsticks were great. Not the cleanest place. Have been here several time in the past and have to say this place has gone down hill. No wood fire oven anymore. Chairs need replaced they are very hard and uncomfortable now. Needs to be brighter inside. Would be great for take out but don't recommend dining in.

I got the seafood/sausage pizza, and it was okay but but nearly as good as all these reviews made it sound. It was a bit dry, honestly. The place is really dark, and seems like it's more of a bar than a typical restaurant. It's probably more fun if you drink, which I don't. The waitresses were both very pretty and very kind, so it's got that going for it.

I just ate here the other night. It was packed but worth the wait, besides the darts, pool and pitchers helped to pass the time. Personally, I think its the best crust in the tri-city area and the selection of toppings is crazy! Shrimp and chicken pizza, buffalo chicken pizza, bbq pizza. Definitely a welcomed switch from the the norm.

Pizza was under-cooked, gummy dough that just flops when attempting to pick it up. My wife asked for hers to be cooked longer and that seemed to make hers more palatable. Maybe the larger size pizza (we had the smaller, individual size) would have been a better option. But if the cheese (and they put A LOT of cheese on, too much imo) isn't nice and carmelized, chances are that the bottom is going to be still doughy. I had a beer. The waitress came over and asked if I wanted another, and I said yes, please. She then asked that I finish what was in my glass (a mouthful) so she could get me another one in the same glass. Is that against health codes? Just curious. The ambiance is kinda cool and all, but the darkess usually makes me suspect that there might be an underlying cleanliness issue, but that is just my suspicion (based on the mens room). As an aside: I ordered the pizza with ham and pineapple (I forget the name). The menu description read something like 'roasted ham sliced very thin...', is was Canadian bacon. I thought that was funny (not Ha Ha funny, more like roll my eyes, shaking my head funny). The description sounded much more appetizing than the real thing.

If you are in Grand Island, stop what you're doing and go to Bonzai RIGHT NOW! If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. I crave this pizza all the time, and whenever I'm in the area I HAVE to stop. Fun and funky atmosphere, good service, good beer and the BEST pizza in all of Nebraska. Honestly, there's nothing like this place in Lincoln or Omaha. They have an awesome brick oven decorated with bright colored, mosaic tiles, and the pizza that comes out of it is top notch. They have unique topping choices and more than a dozen specialty pizzas that you can have as a boogie board (single serving pizza) or a long board (big pizza for sharing). My favorite is the Fort Point or the Asilomar Beach. Also, you must try their breadsticks! Great seasonings and yummy cheeses.

Excellent pizza. Got the manly pizza: chicken, shrimp, jalapenos and 3 cheeses. Everything was fresh and went together well. Very creative menu with fun surf / key west theme. Has pool table also and trivia games.

I don't remember the name of the pizza I ordered but it was with cajun tomato sauce, shrimp, and andouille sausage. It was the best pizza I've ever had. The pizza came out hot with cheese melted all over the toppings. It had just the right balance of seasoning in the sauce. The crust was crispy, but not hard... perfect combination in my opinion. It makes me crave the pizza just thinking about it. Too bad it's so far from where I live. I visited Bonzai on a road trip from NE to CA.

This downtown joint has a pool table, a smallish but good beer selection (Fosters, Stella Artois and Boulevard on tap), and good pizza with about a million topping choices. Even in the winter-time the place is buzzin, but i like it best on a hot summer day with the sweat beading off yer brow and the beach groove happening. Just say No to suburban malls and corporate pizza, this is a choice hang-out spot. You can even get a tattoo next door.
